Hardcore pop-punk band, Heroes for a Night’s EP, utilizes collages made of vintage comic books to pay off the band’s name. Indie-core band, the Essex’s debut EP Fathoms, uses maps like puzzle pieces, to illustrate both interpretations of the word. The type used imitates timeworn maps, supporting nautical and deciphering elements. Skate-punk band, Wolves & Wolves & Wolves & Wolves’ debut album Subtle Serpents, features silhouettes of a girl and boy with a serpent, portraying the duality of innocence and deception.
